Like all of you, we work hard to maintain our properties. It's a source of pride that improves and benefits the neighborhood.

Wouldn't it be lovely if everyone felt that way? But they don't. There are always a few scattered houses where the owners are real slugs about upkeep. The lawn isn't mowed or is yellow. Debris is piled in the front in full view. There's an untagged car in the driveway and another one in the yard no less!

You've asked nicely for the neighbor to rectify the problem but that went nowhere. What now?

They must be reported to the City of Fort Lauderdale for they are the only ones with enforcement power. The Imperial Point Association cannot make your neighbors clean up; we lack the authority. Yet we can make the reporting process a little easier.

When you call the City of Fort Lauderdale for code violations, they will ask for your name. That can be a bit awkward. But if you are a member of the Imperial Point Association, you may use our Code Enforcement Hotline, 954-828-6403 and we will report your violator. You remain anonymous.

If you are not a member, and hey, it's only $25 so why not click here to join, you can report violations directly to the City of Fort Lauderdale by calling 954 -828-5207 or emailing code@fortlauderdale.gov
