Today, I received a response back from my letter sent to the Department of Justice informing of the 2016 COPS Hiring Program (CHP) Grant for $1,000,000 was awarded on October 3, 2016, over a three (3) year period to the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department to hire eight (8) officer positions.
